Meet the Authors, Artists and Designers

Paul MonkPaul Monk

Paul Monk, poet and polymath, is a writer of unusual range and quality, interested in almost every aspect of the way the world works, from natural history to geopolitics and in the finest nuances of human intimacy. Over the past decade Paul has published well over 100 essays on public, international and historical affairs. He has not, generally, sought publication in academic journals but has looked for a wider readership of non-specialists.

Paul Monk has published a number of books in the past four years:

Thunder from the Silent Zone: Rethinking China (Scribe, 2005)

Sonnets to a Promiscuous Beauty: A Homage to the Western Canon (Barrallier Books, 2006)

The West in a Nutshell: Foundations, Fragilities, Futures (Barrallier Books, 2009)

Paul is now writing Darkness Over Love, a literary work of extraordinary scope and ambition.
